11 23 25 update

Hello Linsford Families,

Thank you to all who supported our Book Fair! It was wonderful to see so many families out for the event and to attend our parent teacher meetings. Please remember, you can book a time to meet with your child's teacher whenever you deem necessary and don't need to wait for these more formal events.

Our students in grade 1-6 will attend the play, Frozen Jr. at the MacLab in December. Permission forms will be active by the end of the day on Monday, November 24. We have a limited number of tickets for additional volunteers. Teachers will be reaching out to you with additional details.

We have been excited to work with Miss Angela as our MHCB coach. She works with our grade 1-6 classes to support students in their social emotional growth. We will feature some pictures of her lessons throughout the year.

Basketball practices have started for students in grade 5 and 6. A number of students have been attending. There will be a couple of league games and one tournament for each team. The tournament dates are: Jan 16 & 17 (boys) and Jan 23 & 24 (girls). Most practices will be held at lunch time, but we will have one practice per week after school on Mondays (starting Dec. 1). More information will be sent home shortly with further details.

A number of new students and families have joined LPS in the last few weeks and we would like to extend a big WELCOME to all of you! Please reach out to the office team if you have any questions!

Warmest Regards,

Mrs. Kloschinsky & Dr. Murtha-Toles

OFFICER BRAD: SADD CAMPAIGN

Our grade 4-6 students worked with Officer Brad and Mrs. K to learn about the SADD liquor bag campaign. The students are creating messages about drinking and driving and safety for their liquor bags. The LPS liquor bags will be dropped off at Mico's Liquor store in the month of December to help promote this message.

CONGRATULATIONS!

The following lucky students successfully answered a book fair riddle and then were chosen in a student draw to receive a free book from our book fair! Congratulations to them all! A HUGE note of THANKS to Mrs. Pollard for hosting our book fari and to all who supported the event. This allows us to continue adding new books or replacing worn out books in our library collection!

YEARBOOKS

The yearbooks from last year will have a late fall delivery. As a reminder, we had to switch yearbook companies in the last week of June, which delayed our delivery. Our yearbook team has been working hard to change to the new platform. We hope you will be as excited as we are by the final product. We will provide a delivery date soon. The final proof has been submitted and we are hopeful for a before Christmas delivery date. Stay tuned!

SCHOOL COUNCIL / PARENT FUNDRAISING UPDATE

WEM

Waterpark Fundraiser – Let’s Make a Splash!

Our Parent Fundraising Association is excited to announce our upcoming Waterpark Fundraiser Night! This event promises to be a fantastic evening of fun for families, friends, and our wider community. Not only is it a great chance to enjoy a night out, but every ticket sold directly supports our new playground.

We are getting closer, but we still need to sell many more tickets in order to make this event a success. If you’ve been considering purchasing, now is the time! These tickets also make wonderful Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. Please help us by sharing the event with your friends, neighbours, coworkers, and the wider community. A quick share on Facebook or a simple conversation can make a huge difference.

We’re also excited to share that our dream of a new playground is getting closer and closer. We have submitted an application for a government grant, and once we receive the results, we hope to move forward with construction. Thank you for your support—every fundraiser, volunteer hour, and shared post brings us one step nearer to making this playground a reality for our students.

Thank you for your ongoing support—we truly appreciate all the ways you help us reach our goals. We’re looking forward to an amazing night together!

Volunteers Needed — Secretary Positions

Both School Council and the Parents' Fundraising Association are currently seeking a Secretary for the upcoming year. This is an important role that helps keep our parent groups running smoothly. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to contribute, take notes during meetings, and help ensure communication stays clear and organized.

If you or someone you know might be interested, please reach out. And remember—anyone can join our School Council or Parents' Association. Whether you’re new to the school or have been here for years, we always welcome new faces and fresh voices. Your involvement makes a difference, and everyone is welcome.
Don’t miss out on this exclusive night of fun!

Please email any questions to linsfordparkpa@gmail.com

NEXT MEETING: NOVEMBER 24 @ 6:00 pm

School Council meeting will be first followed by the Parent Fundraiser meeting. Please consider joining us and having a voice in our school.
