Hello Linsford families,
It was a busy week at LPS and you will be able to see lots of updates and photos in this week's Leopard Leaders News.
We would like to send out a special SHOUT OUT OF THANKS to the two LPS moms (Nicole & Brandy) who made popcorn for us to pass out to all students on Friday in K-6. There were lots of cheers and words of appreciation from staff and students for this extra special treat.
Enjoy the FAMILY DAY weekend! We hope everyone has some time to recharge and unplug.

UPCOMING SCHOOL EVENTS
RED, WHITE, PINK DAY
Students and staff enjoyed dressing up in red, white, and/or pink this past Friday. Enjoy a few pictures from this fun theme day.
DRUM FIT FUN IN PHYSED
Our students have been exercising and enjoying a Drum Fit unit in physed classes. Thank you Mr. McDonald for organizing this for us!
ASSEMBLY PRIZE WINNERS
The pictures below are the prize winners from the last couple of assemblies. This month we are doing a kindness challenge where students can be "caught being kind". When a staff member sees them doing a kind act, they get to sign the kindness chart in the hallway. After 100 kind acts, many names will be drawn for prizes.
BASKETBALL SEASON WRAP-UP
Our basketball team had a fun season wrap-up at the LRC this past week. There were lots of fun and exciting moments. Players really enjoyed when a few parents joined our BUMP game. CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Zack for winning our Heart n' Hustle award.
THANK YOU to the parents and coaches for supporting our students this past season. It was a great experience and we look forward to continuing our basketball program next year. SPECIAL THANKS to Brayden's Dad and the Leduc Optimist Club for donating medals and treat bags (that were added to by the coaches) for our players.
FLOOR HOCKEY UPDATE
Our floor hockey teams are all excited to play in the upcoming Black Gold tournaments. Two of our teams have begun practices. There are practices at lunch and after school. The after school practices along with the tournament dates are in the schedule below for your convenience. Thank you to Mrs. Culp, Ms. Archie, and Mr. McDonald for coaching!

Hot Lunch orders are ready for February and you can order any time.
